Ok so personally I don’t like when people write these sort of things. It’s usually something like “Oh I love him because he is so cute and so cool and blah blah blah.” Famous people are always idolized for one reason or another so why would I want to do that too? Why would I want to write about why I Idolize Twiggy Ramirez? I decided to write about it not to be like everybody else but because I wanted to see what reasons I could come up with myself on why Twiggy Ramirez is a person worthy of my idolization.
It’s kind of funny because when I remember back 6 or 7 years ago when I first started liking Marilyn Manson I can remember not liking anyone in particular from the band. I liked the band more for the music and talent that they posess more than anything else. Their looks, makeup, style, clothes, nothing mattered but the music. As time passed and I got more into the band, I started to learn more and more and each member started to intrigue me more. In a band the singer is usually always the first one idolized. The singer, of course, is a very important member of a band but I always like to know more about the others. As I started investigating the Internet and magazines, I started to become more and more fascinated by Twiggy. At the time I did not have cable television so I could not get mtv to see anything that they might have been on back then. I would always ask my friends to tape things for me and I would borrow the videos from other people. I can still remember a 120 minutes episode that Marilyn Manson and Twiggy were both on and I was absolutely fascinated with Twiggy. He didn’t talk much but I loved to watch his mannerisms. I watched him more than I had even payed attention to the interview and I ended up having to watch the video a few times. There was something about Twiggy, the way he looked, his mannerisms, his facial expressions, and the few words he said, had me hooked to him. It’s not even because he’s cute or because he’s famous. I think that he’s talented and I just find everything about him absolutely amazing. I finally was able to go to my first Marilyn Manson concert in 1997 and It just so happened where I stood in the mosh pit was right up front, directly in front of Twiggy. Again his mannerisms were fascinating. Marilyn Manson is still by far one of the best shows I have ever seen live on stage. All of the members have a way about them, how they move and act when they are playing the music. Of course, Marilyn Manson takes the center stage and makes the most effects on stage, but I find myself drawn more towards watching Twiggy every concert I go to.
It’s practically impossible for me to describe my fascination towards Twiggy. I know I don’t know him personally and I know I probably never will. What I do know about Twiggy I am absolutely Fascinated by. I think he is secretly a very smart man and I adore him. I don’t even know what else I could say about my idolization of Twiggy, He’s just a very fascinating man in a dress, and I’ll never think of him as anything less. |
