How do you start a paragraph about a serious issue and a very personal issue like abortion without hurting the feelings of / or offending anyone at the same time? I guess it should start out by stating that Abortion is a very personal issue and that if one cannot handle the subject of / or opinion of someone’s writing on abortion than they should not continue to read this paragraph or any others that may follow. I do not wish to hurt anyone or offend anyone in my feelings towards abortion for they are my own and do not apply to anyone I know or do not know who has their own opinion on abortion. Everyone should have their own opinion on abortion and should feel free to express it as they choose without hurting the feelings of anyone who may not take to well to the subject. As everyone should have their own opinions, they should also respect the opinions of others and realize that everyone feels differently on subjects as serious and personal as this. On that note I wish to express my opinion and views on the subject of abortion.
If I were to label myself as Pro- Choice or Pro- life I would most definitely without a doubt choice pro-choice. I feel as though everyone should be able to choose what they wish to do with their lives. I do, however feel, that Abortion should not be treated as a selfish act. Abortion is a very personal subject for one. I do not believe that if someone chooses to have an abortion they should need to speak of it like a common thing or a regular conversation piece for it may hurt or offend the feelings of others who may have common history with an abortion case or just strong feelings towards it. I also believe that Abortion does not only affect the female but the male who helped to create the unborn child and it also affects the child who may soon have a life or may soon be another life that could of been.
Abortion is something that can affect many people in many ways. Someone may have had a decision to make themselves or they may have had someone close to them have to make that important decision. Abortion is not a subject that should be spoken lightly of like which football team you like or what movie you want to see tonight. Bringing up abortion in a subject should be taken into consideration. If you have recently made the decision than maybe you should only tell your good friends and not blurt it out to the whole area. You may just hurt some people who haven’t been so open about a subject like that.
A decision that affects the lives of three people should be a decision discussed between two people with the thoughts of the third in mind. I do think that it is mainly the females choice of what to do when she is pregnant but at the same time I feel that the male has a little bit of say in what happens as well. I think that people should weigh all the facts and realize what they will be doing to themselves if they choose to make the decision of having an abortion.
Of course, there are many reasons that could factor in to abortion and I think that all of them are justified reasons. I personally believe that I would not choose to have an abortion myself unless there were medical reasons that could harm myself and/or the child. I also feel that Abortion should not be used as a method of Birth control because you are the one who chose to have sex and create another human being. I don’t feel that a life should be destroyed because of an “accident.” There are many people in the world that would love to create a child for themselves and are unable to so maybe they would appreciate your “accident”. But it’s all up to your decision and your emotional stability.
In Conclusion Abortion is a very serious issue that should not be dealt with lightly. It is a very emotional and personal decision and every individual should not only have their own opinion on the issue but they should also respect the opinions of every other individual. I respect the opinions of everyone and I would appreciate the same respect of my opinion on this issue. |
