Welcome, students to your third herbology class. Much credit goes to those who submitted their last homeworks. If you haven’t already done them, go back soon and do them, or house points will be taken.

Today, now that we have mastered some basic plants we will move onto a more complex part of herbology. How to disarm the lethal plant, Venomous Tentacular. The Venomous Tentacular can shoot poisonous spiders and spikes for up to forty feet. You can identify the Venomous Tentacular by its spiderlike shape, it is orangey-brown and resembles a large spider, with leaves round the side. The only way to protect yourself, if you come across it is the Incendio spell.

Now, for the Incendio Spell!

Raise your wand and wave it in a semi-circle

Try and think about fire, you must have a really strong vision of fire in your mind

Then, point your wand at the Venomous Tentacular and yell as hard as you can

‘INCENDIO!’

The plant will set on fire, thus disabling it being able to shoot poisonous spiders and spikes at you.

Now for your homework, I want you to imagine you came across the Venomous Tentacular and write how you tackled it with the Incendio spell and describe the vision of fire you saw. I want it in by next Monday, March 4^th!
