Adelaide Xmas Party Saturday 12th December 1999

To celebrate the festive season, all the Adelaide folks got together at BRONNIE's house to eat, drink and be merry. A task which was accomplished with gusto by a few people. Rusky was pissed early, as expected, while Gibson entertained the kids with his arsenal of bungers, crazyjacks and other assorted firework paraphenalia. Meanwhile, Bronnie, Haley, Fluff and Samantha danced up a storm on the makeshift dancefloor, to reggae and dance tunes. Unfortunately, I couldn't stop the one song that annoys me, "wiggle wiggle" grrrrrrrrr, so I mingled with jazz, Blush, and Winnie, even rejoicing at the cabana (cabonossi) Winnie fed me from her mouth.
Tamm was there, swapping business cards with Star, and trying desperately to sell someone a vaccuum cleaner lol. A new face in the Adelaide Chatters ranks was Dogga, who quickly lapped up the attention shown toward him by the eager single women ie. Rusky, Tamm etc. Tickle-me-elmo was at his charming best, seducing the women with his smooth conversations and highlighting the finer points of his short, but illustrious nursing career. Gee did he have some stories to tell. Sami and Zar whipped up some tea towel aggression in the kitchen, which was quickly embraced by myself and Gibson, putting on a ferocious display of domestic fencing with our cloth swords. In the early hours of the next morning, bodies started to pile up in the darkness of the loungeroom to watch a scary movie, or just simply to crash.
Semi-naked bodies spread from one side of the room to the other, some sleeping, some umm.... watching Halloween. The second feature film was The Matrix, which started to send people to sleep ( I wonder if that was Leah snoring, or if Haley elbowed me because it was me????? I think it was Leah). Tamm woke us all up at 730am, after 2 hours sleep, because she had to go to work, and I was surprised to see her dressed, ready to go, seconds after waking, and indulging in another Iced Coffee breakfast. When I left, tickle-me-elmo and Leah was departing too, leaving everyone else to clean up the cold uneaten food, the drink stained carpets, the sprawling empty bottles and the overflowing ashtrays. One good reason why parties are better at pubs hehehehe
(Then again, I wouldn't dare sleep on a pubs adhesive carpetry, I'd probably wake up with a barstool stuck to my face!)
