All skill levels are invited to participate.
Team Carving – each team consists of 2 carvers who sit back to back – no visiting or discussing what the “subject” of the carving is intended to be. There is no theme given, first carver decides for themselves what to carve, second carver hopefully guesses correctly what first had in mind or just changes it to suit themseleves.
1. Each carver will be given a blank. Teams can deiced who carvers first.
2. The official starter will start the competition.
3. The first carver will carve for 20 minutes and pass the carving to their partner who will carve on the piece for 20 minutes. Then, the piece will be passed back to the original carver for the remaining 20 minutes.
Gail is the final arbatrator of the Rules. Ask him anything. Rules may be modified by Gail Fruehling "on the spot" if necessary. Judges will evaluated the finished carving and declare a winning carving.
There will be one winning carving but both carvers on the team will be declared winners and each will receive a one year subscription to Carving Illustrated Magazine.
Teams will be picked by the luck of the draw from all those participating.
