1) One paragraph summary of the key idea summarizing
the topic of the week.

This week we learned about the different beliefs of Nietzsche, Hobbes, and Ignatius. All three believed different things on: God, the meaning of life, humans, Reason, and morality. All three provided examples of challenges to faith. Neitzsche believed that "God is dead" meaning that the belief in God is dying. This belief was very different from Hobbes who believed that God did not exist. Ignatius believed that God existed and that he created us for a specific purpose. On the meaning of life, all three men took different approaches: Nietszsche believed that different people had different meanings, whereas Hobbes believed that it is irrelevant. Ignatius believed that everyone has the same meaning- to live to the greater glory of God. On the aspects of Humans and Reason, Nietzsche belived that we will become the superrace someday and that reason cannot discover faith. Hobbes said that we as humans are no different from animals, and also said that the universe is unintelligible. Ignatius believed that humans are destined for greatness. Hobbes and Nietszche are part of the challenges to faith because they have a critical view of faith.
