In the summer of 2001 Sam, Liam, Joe and Ed decided to go to a summer rock school, At this point Sam, Ed and Joe didnt know Liam so when they found they shared intrest in the same styles of music they decided to form a band and Plug My Socket was born. The name Plug My Socket was due for a change but no one ever got round to it so it just stuck. After rehearsing several times covering rock songs and playing 'Red 27' (there fisrt song ever written) the band came up with a real catchy riff, This excited everyone and it wasnt too long before the band had several catchy punk songs under their belts and decided to record a demo CD. Shortly after the 7 song, 7 hour session the band played a lot more including the square. Liam felt 'his patroism was far too strong' and decided he needed to move back to the land down under, The band were stuck, after trying a line up change by bringing in a new guitarist and shifting Sam to drums the band decided it wasnt going to work and called it quits. About a year later Sam had the idea of reforming Plug My Socket as a 3 piece and thats exactly what they did. After a few practices, they decided that the music really needed two guitars to work how they wanted it to, so eventually, they find drummer Mike Jennings to step in on drums, and Sam moves back to guitar. After Rock Contest 2004, Ed left to persue other musical projects, so Mitch is now on bass. So thats the story so far...
