A Note from one of the Rome Runners I think I can speak for the men of Co. A, that we were very proud to be the largest heavy haul trucking company in the Army at the time. Fifty 10-tons. But, we were even more proud to move and work with the bravest Army Engineers the world has ever seen since D-Day. The three line companies of the Land~Clearing Engineers. The Jungle Eaters,Land Barons, and the Rome Plows. SP-5 Patrick J. Simone ~ Vietnam 1970 Click on Photos to View Larger Version |
