Considering the speed of technological innovation, this is not so far fetched anymore... A replicator is a theoretical device (diagram below) that can transform pure energy into matter, in whatever organization you wish. It could make food, medicine, finished materials, or possibly even desperately needed human organs...
The only thing that is stopping current use of this device is a concept called the heisenberg uncertainty princliple. Brickwalls such as this will be solved in the new era when religion and science are merged. The light barrier has been broken by scientists using a type of laser beam and soon we will have the resources as a people to work on such projects, because social problems will disappear. Money will no longer be needed because you can replicate anything you need... Anything you need...
