Handmaids of the Lord

Called by special feelings
That there is work to do.
Called in spite of weakness
A called and chosen few.
Handmaids of a prophet's dream
That all the Earth should know,
Handmaids who accept the call
And aren't afraid to go.

Servants of Zion your pathway is clear.
You've worshiped your savior
And followed him here.
Now in his vineyard your labor begins
No longer as servants
But as daughters, and as friends.

Filled with testimonies
Burning to be shared.
Tracting out to meet the world
Too eager to be scared.
Teaching with authority
And power from above,
Not the holy priesthood
But the power known as love.

losing self in service
And finding so much more.
Learning how to love and feel
Much deeper than before.
Gaining special qualities
Through the refiner's fire.

Servants of Zion your pathway is clear.
You've worshiped your savior
And followed him here.
Now in his vineyard your labor begins
No longer as servants,
But daughters and as friends.
