THE TOUCH OF AN ANGEL
Have you ever been touched by an angel?
Most people, I deem would answer no,
Yet if they were to stop and think real hard
They may have a different tale to tell.
For many times I have been touched
By a kind word and a gentle hand,
Lifted from sorrow and also in pain,
Given a helping hand when crushed.
I felt heaven close when I’ve helped another,
Who needed a helping hand from me.
I’ve felt the peace of doing what’s right
For a stranger who then became a brother.
I am sure we’ve all felt the touch of an angel,
Who ever the person may have been,
For the world is full of kind, loving people.
Angels in disguise, working a magical spell.
In turn, try to be an angel, good and kind,
Look around this world and see the pain,
Place your hand on a shoulder and smile,
Drive away fear from a child’s mind
The list could be quite long and endless
Of small things that sweet angels do.
For in life we all need the touch of an angel
To help in times of strife, worry and stress.
