SILVER LINING.
To have a silver lining, there has to be dark black clouds,
There has to be a nasty storm to make a rainbow shine.
The stars seem to shine much brighter when there is no moon.
There has to be some sorrow to know that joy can be mine,
You have to be really sick to know how good it feels
To be healthy and quite free from all pain and fear.
You need to be parted from those you deeply love
To know how much they mean, how you want them near.
When trouble comes knocking on the door of your life,
Or you become discouraged with the things you have to bare,
And temptations are all around you trying to pull you down,
It seems that the burdens are too much, you have so much care,
Look for that silver lining, find the rainbow bright and clear
Arched across the stormy sky, and know that Heaven is near.
