FREEDOM
Wicked men may wish take away my freedom,
stop me from worshipping as I please,
lock me in some small dark room
where you may be too hot or freeze.
They may weaken my frail human body
with lack of nourishment or drink,
but never, whatever they may do,
will they overcome my power to think.
For my heart and mind are my own,
for there is no one, what’re they impart,
able to stop the thinking of my mind
or the kind thoughts within my heart.
For free will belongs to all mankind,
no one enters uninvited into your mind,
no one can make you evil or bad.
So whatever they do, always be kind.
Be in control of the choice that is free,
Free if you choose the right way.
starvation and cruelty will weaken
the body, yet at the end of a cruel day,
you hold up your head, you are still free.
for they can never destroy a soul you see.
