I'll warn you, you won't find any dark, torturous, or
angst-ridden fics here.  I tend towards romance and
I like reasonably happy endings.  While I do read fics which
have serious moments, if you are looking for Dark fic
recommendations, you might want to skip mine.  I will
assure you that all the fics I have recommended are extremely
well written.  They are some of the best of the genre.
General warning:  I read adult fics.  Almost everything I
recommend will be rated R or NC-17.  For your own
peace of mind, read each stories warnings before
you jump into it.

Severus Snape/Remus Lupin:

(New Rec) Still Life by The Treacle Tart
This fic is not quite like any I have ever read.  It's very tame,
no lemons at all, but it is a really interesting
character study and an intriguing concept.

(New Rec) Salt Water Tides by Louise Lux
Written  for the contrelamontre 'hidden, orange, stain' challenge.
Once again, no naughty bits! Lol.  An interesting look
at Severus Snape.  It cuts off a bit abruptly, but it's certainly
well worth reading.

(New Rec) Price of a Kiss by Lyntek
A SS Fuh-Q Fest response.  A hot PWP with Lupin,
Severus, and a little Bill Weasley thrown in.
Delicious!

For Life by McKay
Written for the Master and Wolf Challenge #50: Lupin and Snape are
captured, and it's just prior to the full moon. Instead of simply
killing them, Voldemort has them locked up together, knowing
that when Lupin transforms he will tear Snape to shreds, and
then probably go mad from guilt. Rescue seems unlikely, but Lupin
knows there is one thing that could save Snape: a werewolf would never
harm its mate. The trouble is, not only must they have sex, but
becoming a werewolf's mate means you must stay with
them for life. Will Snape think death is a better option?
My personal favorite of the Challenge #50 responses.

The Skull Beneath the Skin by Ellen Fremedon
A more serious fic than my usual recs, but not dark by any means.
A tender story of love blooming amidst the war. 
And it has Virgin!Snape done tastefully and well.
What more could one ask for?

Always by Geri
"Set during Prisoner of Azkaban, with a very long 
flashback to Snape's and Lupin's student days at Hogwarts;
my take on how their relationship might have developed."
A long story with song lyrics scattered throughout, but
don't let that put you off.  Quite a nice interpretation
of Remus and Snape's long history together.

Learning to Read the Signs by Sorceress
and its sequel:
Apt Pupil by Sorceress
"Master and the Wolf Fuh-Q-Fest Challenge #16: Snape
goes into a bar. Lupin is there. After making a disparaging comment
about werewolves, Snape discovers that the clientele of "Raging
Moon" is pretty much entirely lycanthropes.
Can he convince Lupin to save his butt?"

Jagged Edge by Lee
Warning: Mentions of violence and bigotry
"When Remus accidentally walks in on Severus bathing
he is horrified by the scars that cover his body."
Heart-wrenching in spots but also tender and erotic.

Notes by Salix
Severus begins receiving anonymous and highly naughty notes.
What will he do about it when he discovers who the sender is?
Jolly good fun!

Flavor of the Month by Sparrowhawk
"Part of 'Howling At The Moon: The Remus J. Lupin Fuh-Q-Fest',
in response to challenge #3, "Werewolves, contrary to popular belief,
do not mate for life. In fact, due to their over-active libidos,
many have earned the reputation of being “promiscuous”.
How does this affect Remus and his romantic endeavors?"
This one is big fun and quite amusing!

Night Visitor by Blackbludger
One of my very favorite Snupins.  Changes in the Hogwarts'
staff leave Lupin occupying Snape's old dungeon rooms.
A sleepwalking Snape doesn't seem to realize the
rooms are no longer his.  A truly entertaining fic!

Severus Snape/Rubeus Hagrid:
I know, I know, this is a rather squicky pairing for some.
I adore some of the SS/RH fics though.  There is just
something unbelievably touching about a well done Severus and
Hagrid fic.  Don't believe me?  Give it a try!

Care of Magical Creatures by Bernice
The best story in this pairing, in my opinion.  A Hagrid who is in
character but not written as a blithering idiot.
A Snape that is delightfully canon but still human.
Well worth a read!  Hit the "Stories" link at
the bottom to find the sequels.

Size Queen by Predatrix
This fic has the best written Hagrid that I have ever had
the pleasure of reading.  Predatrix obviously knows the
difference between lack of formal education and stupidity and
it shows brilliantly in this fic.  Thoughtful,
amusing, and highly erotic.

Home Brew by Lynda
How will Severus get over the embarrassment of asking
Hagrid for a potion ingredient which only an aroused
Giant can provide?  Funny, sweet, and smutty by turns.

Severus Snape/Sirius Black:
This is not a pairing I usually read as I don't like Sirius Black
much.  However, the few stories sustain my belief that
a good writer can make me buy just about anything.

Repechage by Fabula Rasa
"It's a simple enough dare: kiss Severus Snape.
But Snape's reaction is anything but simple,
and Sirius can't forget it, or the kiss."
If you are going to read a SS/SB fic, this is the one to read!
It has a sequel called Misericorde but I find it a
bit rough for my tastes.

Slowly but Exceedingly Fine by Ellen Fremedon
"How to kill a dementor, live under a curse, and let go of
an old grudge. Written for the Snape Fuh-q Fest,
Wave 1, Scenario 140: Snape has a personal health
problem he wants to keep quiet."
 

Epistula Ultima by Fabula Rasa
Not going to try to sum this one up.  It's hard to
describe without giving too much away.  If you
enjoy SS/SB fic, this is a must read.
 

Severus Snape/Madam Hooch:

Fancy a Fuck? by Bernice
Not your usual pairing, not your usual fic.  Amazingly
original tale full of humor and, yes, fucking. ;)

Aftermath by Josan
Warning: rape, non-con, violence.  Warnings mostly for
events which happen "off screen."  This is most
likely the best Ron/Severus story I've ever read.  It's interesting,
at times charming and amusing, but overall more
serious than my usual recs.

Lost and Found by Josan
This short fic practically breaks my heart.  As per
usual, Josan knows exactly how to show a
characters frailties and humanity.

Severus Snape/Bill Weasley:

The Curse Breaker by Josan
Severus Snape finds his suitor is not to be discouraged.  One
of my favorite Snape stories ever.  I believe that it is
a SS Fuh-Q fest challenge response, and is it ever a doosy!
