That's me; me and Loki bunny, bless his little deceased
bunny heart!  I'm a 41 year old Yank who started
 writing Harry Potter Fanfic a year or so ago.  I live
in an apartment in Louisville, Kentucky with 1 housecat,
two alley cats who seem to have adopted us,
2 ferrets, and 1 fiancé.   Lol, it's little
wonder most of my OC's are critters.

Update: July 15, 2007

As many of you probably have already found out, Sycophant hex's
new site has failed, and stories posted there have returned to
the separate archives.  I've finally gone in and fixed all the links
to my stories, so they should work now.  On the writing front, I've
finally managed to do a little writing on Price of Madness,
and the next chapter is almost finished.  I'm hoping to finish it up
tonight, and send it off to the betas.  Cross your fingers!

Sycophant Hex's new and shiny site is now up and running,
huzzah for them!  If you haven't yet checked it out, you can

I recommend you go take a look, it's quite amazing!
Now, because of this, all kinds of links to my fics and recs
are going to be wrong, but I am working on getting it sorted out.
I'll start by replacing my links, and then work my way
down through the SS/HG recs as I have the time.
In the meantime, if a story link says it's on Ashwinder,
You can always look it up on the new site.

Update: September 16, 2006

I've been doing a little sprucing up.  At the left, in the links
section, there are two new things, an awards button
and a pics button.  The pics are just personal pics of me, Brian,
the pets, etc.  The awards section has a list of awards
I've received for fanfics.

The Price of Madness is still coming along, but slowly.  I've
not had as much time to write as I would like, but it's
 posted up to chapter 20, and I'm working on 21.

Well, I'm just not very good with the regular updates, am I? ;)
If you are looking for more regular information, there is a link
to my LJ on the left.  I'm going to try to do some additions and upkeep
to this site over the next couple of days.

Right now, I am currently working on a new fic, The Price of Madness.
It's a post-HBP, SS/HG fic.  So far, 16 chapters have been
posted to The Petulant Poetess and Ashwinder.  Links can be found
over on the left.  I'm really enjoying writing this story. 
Doomspark said it's the best thing I've done so far, and he
may be right, though I am awfully fond of Wolf at the Door
myself.  (All of that Jack London reading really paid off!)  So
if you haven't seen PoM yet, you might want to take a peek.
I think that I'm about half-way done with it, but I have
never been all that good at estimating.
 

Update: February 25th, 2006

A post made by Southern Witch (Hi Sun!) Reminded me that I
haven't spruced up this place in some time.  So today I am
spending some much needed time on it.  I've gone through the recs
section, fixed broken links, and made some new recommendations
in all the sections as well.

I did some major renovations to the humor and art section
  so there will be new things there also.

Update: August 20th, 2005

It's about time I updated this a bit.  No promises that it won't
be just a goofy as before, but I could at least mention
what I'm up to at the moment. 

So far, in my fledgling fanfic writing career, I've mostly
stuck to SS/HG fics.  I've decided to take a bit of a break from
that pairing.  I lost interest after HBP came out, but not
for the reasons one might think.  What I liked best about that
pairing was the slightly taboo Of Age Student/Teacher
relationship.  Most of the fics I read are of that ilk and I think
pretty much all of the ones I wrote dealt with that
dynamic.  I firmly remain convinced that Snape has the fall
of Voldemort at heart and that there's much in the way of smoke
and mirrors in HBP.  I look forward to reading the
seventh book to see where JKR takes us.

In the meantime, I'm exploring the world of slash a bit more
thoroughly.  I've always enjoyed reading male slash, so I thought
I'd try my hand at writing a bit.  I suppose I am simply exchanging one
social "taboo" for another.  *grin*  One of these days, I'm going to
have to talk one of my gay male friends into reading one of my fics
and telling me if I'm on the right track or not.  In the meantime,
I'm adding the links to my new slashy fic in the Pook's fics links.

I'll warn you, it's not a conventional pairing.  *wicked grin*
