Chechnya :

Red Cross wants access to those detained in camps : France's Le Monde newspaper on feb. 14 alleged widespread torture against civilians in internment camps set up by the Russians in captured parts of Chechnya. "One of the authorities' responses is that these demands ( for access ) will be considered later. We think that it is urgent that we intervene now".
