| Things To Do In Denver When Your Dead (1995) Cast:Andy Garcia, Treat Williams, Christopher Walken, Christopher Lloyd, Bill Nunn,William Forsythe,Steve Buscemi,Gabrielle Anwar,Fariuza Balk,Jack Warden When hitmen botch a job for mobster kingpin Christopher Walken, there's hell to pay and of course Mr.Ssssh (Played by Buscemi with the coolest name) comes calling to do the cast in, however Williams and Garcia refuse to take this lying down. Things To Do In Denver When Your Dead is a solid enough effort if only do the excellent cast. Andy Garcia, Treat Williams, Christopher Walken, Christopher Lloyd, William Forsythe, Bill Nunn and Steve Buscemi together all at once, here's my question how come Michael Madsen,Mickey Rourke and Michael Pare didn't get a call? All things considered this movie certainly doesn't live up to expectations set up by the cast but for what it's worth, there is still enough fun to be had by watching this loopy mobster yarn, it's certainly not up to standard of Reservoir Dogs or anything but Things To Do In Denver When Your Dead has quite a few effective moments, most with the scenes with Treat Williams and Andy Garcia and there are strong moments to be had, but despite the fact that this is a good movie, I'm still disappointed by the fact that it could've been even better. Indeed if they would've pumped up Williams' role as well as Buscemi's assassin and they might've had something more than just a stylish mobster movie only worth watching once. D.Gary Fleder *** |
