| The Swordsman (1992) Cast:Lorenzo Lamas, Claire Stansfield,Michael Champion Lamas stars as the reincarnation of Alexander the great who must take on a warrior he has seen in his dreams, who he must now fight to decide the winner, in this routine Highlander knock off which is disappointing because it's not very exciting. Lorenzo Lamas is far from the worst actor in the genre, he's a really bad actor but often his movies are rather entertaining, however those movies are entertaining because they keep Lamas in constant motion, fighting some thug who rightfully deserved it, however here Lamas is up against one bad guy and this just doesn't offer much entertainment, the action that is displayed is decent and it makes the movie mildly diverting... Those looking for a mindless actioner with wall to wall action will enjoy this routine genre offering, but seasoned action fans are best off seeing something better.. D.Michael Kennedy ** |
