| Redemption (2002) Cast:Don "The Dragon" Wilson,Chris Penn,Cynthia Rothrock,Richard Norton,James Russo Don "The Dragon" Wilson stars as Collins, a cop who is kicked off the police force when his girlfriend (Rothrock) is killed during a drug-bust, broke Collins turns to mob boss (Penn) for some money, however when a bank heist goes awry, Collins finds he must fight for redemption. Although far from a Tarantino classic, Redemption surprisingly shapes up to be a fairly entertaining B.movie with good actionscenes, and decent acting, the story is actually quite captivating and the whole movie works as a straight foward actioner, however the director doesn't quite pull off an ace job due to a groan-inducing climax, which although well done, is a little to cliched to work with the rest of the movie. It's too bad the climax botches the rest of the movie, because the beginning is well written and the movie really works, in other words it should go out with a whisper instead of a bang, however Redemption doesn't and just misses the mark.
