Rapid Exchange (2003)

Cast:Lorenzo Lamas, Lance Henriksen

Lamas and Henriksen star as thiefs who sneak aboard a airplane which has loads of money that they try to nab in this really lame actioner which furtermore frustates due to the lack of action, lack of interesting characters and of course a plot which makes very little sense. Lamas as usual proves to be a wooden presence.

Of all the actionstars out there, Lorenzo Lamas appears to be the most prolific, at one point Lamas was lower on the foodchain of actionheroes than Don "The Dragon" Wilson but after getting his career revived by soap opera appearances as well as a reality television show, Lamas has been churning out at least 8 movies since
Undercurrent. However where in The Debt where he started to show some acting chops, here all has turned sour as Lamas remains just plain unwatchable through out, Lamas is truly atrocious in the role of a happy-go lucky thief who also relies on his wits.  For some reason though the filmmakers have taken away any of Lamas' real acclaim, his ability to kick ass, take that away from him and we have nothing but bland whiteness on the screen. Lance Henriksen merely looks bored as the mobster who masterminds the sting, certainly when Henriksen can't save your movie you know your movie's in trouble. Let's face it this is a typically awful Lorenzo Lamas clunker, you know what to expect only this time there's no action. D.Tripp Reed *
