The Philadelphia Experiment (1984) Cast:Michael Pare, Nancy Allen, Bobby Di Cicco, Eric Christmas When Michael Pare and Bobby Di Cicco disappear in 1943 due to an experiment with a ship, the government cover it up, however when those Pare and DiCicco resurface in 1984, the government sends out all kinds of goons to nab them before the conspiracy gets out, however along the way Pare is aided by a local woman and he decides to find out what happened for himself. This ambitious picture is certainly suspenseful and entertaining enough to be worth seeing for fans of the genre, although the story itself is a bit to busy to really do the plot thread justice, half of the time we don't know what to make of the gibberish being thrown at us, explaining why Pare is here and why all of a sudden DiCicco disappears without a trace, certainly the claim that it was based on a true story is highly unlikely indeed, but Pare and Allen do rather well in their roles, especially Pare who adds a sense of confusion to his performance which adds to the overall tone of the movie, afterall we find ourselves identifying with Pare mainly like him the audience doesn't know either how he got there. Once again though Stewart Rafill keeps the pace fast enough to cover such flaws, and if there is one thing that can be said about this movie, is that it moves and has quite a few suspenseful moments.
