| Out For Justice (1991) Cast:Steven Seagal,William Forsythe,Gina Gershon,Jerry Orbach Seagal plays a cop who goes Out For Justice after the murder of his bestfriend/partner seems his childhood buddy is responsible and now Seagal will be hunt with sock stuffed with cueball and vengeance in heart Seagal will get revenge, Brooklyn style. Seagal may not be everyone's cup of tea but this flick about revenge has Seagal at his best, especially when he beats the hell out of guys in a bar with a cueball stuffed in a sock! Aside from that the film is very well written for a Seagal film as it takes some time to set up characters, which make the movie far more interesting than just a routine shootemup. Also when Seagal gets down and dirty (The real appeal of the film) Out For Justice becomes a prime example of why fans like this sort of thing. The story is mean spirited and gritty and although the flaws are there, Out For Justice works as the perfect genre film. I can't really think of something that bad about the movie. Also William Forsythe as the villain adds another plus to the proceedings. Once again though this is Seagal's best movie.D.John Flynn***1/2 |
