| Once Upon A Time In China (1990) Cast:Jet Li,Yuen Biao In Li's true masterpiece he stars as a martial artist who fights a group of thugs trying to sell Chinese women off as prostitutes however when the thugs take Jet Li's cousin, all hell breaks loose. The movie is a true epic ands remains one of the best HK films to date not to mention Tsui Hark's best to date. The film captures the heart of old school flicks yet also provides enough rewards to satisfy even the most strict critic. Also the actionscenes are without a doubt jaw dropping, Especially the climax where Jet Li is doing amazing stuff that is stunning, nobody can do it like Jet Li, although honestly I have yet to see others which even though are in my collection, I haven't got around to seeing them yet. Maybe cause i'm affraid of the diminishing rule with sequels. However OUATIC is well worth the time and effort of seeing and stands as the best Jet Li movie I've seen. D.Tsui Hark **** |
