| Missing In Action 2:The Beginning (1985) Cast:Chuck Norris,Soon Tech Oh Chuck Norris stars as Col. Braddock the one-man army who went ballistic in MIA 1 and rescued P.O.Ws now returns in the first sequel which details his escape in this generally more enjoyable sequel which is the best of the series due to the nice atmosphere and good action sequences which provide Norris with more exciting visuals to go with the action. The first viewing of MIA 2, I didn't much like it, infact I said it was the worst of the series, however this is actually not the case as this one remains the best of the series due to the exciting action and nice scenery which basically make up for the story's slow spots. Norris manages to make the his inexpressiveness somewhat likable and in the process looks first rate in action. Also of note is just how enjoyable the escape action sequences are through out the film, when Norris kills guys he does it with style and this results in flame thrower fatalities and hand to hand combat sequences which generally make the movie more enjoyable than most Cannon outpost. (Cannon produced this) the best thing about the film though is Soon Tek Oh who provides a memorable villain who proves to be no push-over in the fight-scenes.. D.Lance Hool *** |
