| The Matrix Reloaded (2003) Cast:Keanu Reeves,Laurence Fishburne,Carrie-Anne Moss,Hugo Weaving,Jada Pinkett-Smith,Daniel Bernhardt The Matrix Reloaded is a movie that the die hard fans (the kind of people who dress in black trench-coats and shades) will love, I personially couldn't make sense of some of the incoherent mumbo-jumbo which often reminded me what it was like to be at a party with lots of beer, but the good news is The Matrix Reloaded is a worthy sequel and I look forward to the next installment to tie everything together. The story doesn't amount to much but the actionscenes are pretty spectactular to behold, the highlight is the freeway chase-scene which is jaw dropping. However when compared to the original it doesn't even come close. Was I shocked ? No. Was I disappointed? Not really, but then again I just expected good action. Was it entertaining? I thought so, the actionscenes are very impressive and are indeed a wow (especially on the big screen.) but it's the story that really brings this down. So the wise way to view this sequel is to ignore the plot and just enjoy the action, because afterall sequels rarely live up the predecessors. D. Wachowski Bros. *** |
