| Judge Dredd (1996) Cast:Sylvester Stallone,Armand Assante,Diane Lane,Rob Schieder Sylvester Stallone stars as "Judge Dredd" the comicbook hero who gives local thugs a break to take on his replicant who has even more power then Dredd, however aided by fellow cops Jugde Hershey (Lane) and hacker (Schieder) Dredd must find a way to wipe out his nemesis or die trying, in this surprisingly unexciting actioner which is disappointing due to how Stallone plays the character. I guess it could have been worse but Judge Dredd is still a very flawed and unremarkable film it boasts several good action scenes but doesn't get all it could get out of it's plot. As it is the film is watchable but it would have been better had the script given Stallone something to work with. Strictly routine and unimaginative. D.Danny Cannon ** |
