| The Hitman (1991) Cast:Chuck Norris,Michael Parks Standard action movie has Norris undercover as a hitman who seeks vengeance on his ex-partner (Parks) who almost killed him. mediocre actioner has nothing to set itself apart from thousands of movies of this caliber, making it a excerise in by the numbers filmmaking. One of the reasons Chuck Norris stopped making movies(Besides becoming old) was that at the time,Van Damme,Seagal and Lundgren were all younger and better looking and that their martial arts ability was ten times more exciting then Norris' waning skills which really shows since The Hitman relies heavily on shootouts more so then martial arts. The Hitman showed no different for Norris, the unimaginative action scenes and brainless script sunk what could've been Norris' big comeback. D.Aaron Norris** |
