The Evil That Men Do (1984)

Cast:Charles Bronson,Theresa Saldona, Jose' Ferrer,Joseph Maher

Bronson stars as Holland a hired assassin who is hired by his old employer (Ferrer) to kill a doctor who practices torture therapy on political prisoners, however he doesn't need too much convincing since the doctor has killed his old friend, not to mention listening to interviews with victims who have endured such torture in this brutal yet very hard hitting actioner which has Bronson in top form.

Evil That Men Do is often at times so brutal I was quite astonished. Not for the usual reasons but because down in South America they did indeed use methods pretty accurate to what is told on film (My guess is that they are real interviews.)  It's realistic and yet that's how it contains it's power. Overall this is somewhat of a comeback film for Bronson, after the awful Death Wish II, one is happy that at least this movie is competently made as well as exciting and energeticly directed. Evil That Men Do may indeed be underrated but it doesn't really matter the movie has lots of power and is overall a movie that will electrify the fans of the genre. However the squeamish need not to apply. D.J.Lee Thompson ***
