| Die Hard:With A Vengeance (1995) Cast:Bruce Willis,Samuel L Jackson,Jeremy Irons Bigger isn't always better (sorry to all the critics who have said this about the movie) But Die Hard With A vengeance proves this point very well as Willis this time teams up with Jackson to stop a madman from stealing gold bars and blowing up New York city. Die Hard:With a Vengeance is utterly preposterous and mindless drivel which never quite takes off to the powerhouse actioner that it certainly aims to. That this disappointing sequel doesn't come close to the superior predecessors is a given but that it's outclassed by the clones (Sudden Death,Under Siege 1, 2 and The Peacekeeper) is a surprising fate. Of course not all of it is a waste. Irons is solid and Willis has outstanding chemistry with Jackson but this alone doesn't make the film a winner, indeed it's what saves this empty headed sequel from being a complete loser.D.John McTiernan ** |
