| The Delta Force (1986) Cast:Chuck Norris,Lee Marvin,Robert Forster,Martin Balsam,Robert Vaughn,Steve James,George Kennedy,Joey Bishob,Shelley Winters When an airplane is hijacked by Arab terrorists it's up to Norris and Marvin and their commandos to come to the rescue in this entertaining action flick which can be described the dirty dozen at the airport which is not a bad thing especially that The Delta Force is a energeticly filmed comicbook actionflick that provides the required amount of action to be quite satisfying. The Delta Force is indeed a good actionflick which works thanks to the very quick pace that never lets us out of the tense surroundings that this flick certainly contains. One must admit that for an actionflick The Delta Force is pretty exciting, even if it has Chuck Norris. However it's Lee Marvin that really makes this work. His presence alone raises the level of enjoyability in a cartoon-styled actioner which doesn't really have a lot of logic, but that's okay because this movie entertains and for that it's a must for fans of the genre. In terms of filmography we'd have to rate The Delta Force as one of Chuck's best. Sadly Marvin's last theatrical movie. D. Menahelm Golan *** |
