| The Dead Pool (1988) Cast:Clint Eastwood,Liam Neeson,Patricia Clarkson,Evan Kim, Jim Carrey Clint Eastwood returns again in another go around as Harry Calahan who this time goes up against a killer who is knocking off celebrities on a list called "The Dead Pool" in this disappointing sequel which has clearly proven that Eastwood has gone to the well once to often. The Dead Pool, does feature a few good moments such as a good chase scene involving a remote control car and Eastwood has the charisma to hold a movie together from being a complete disaster, but overall this sequel fails to even come close to even being as exciting as it's 4 predecessors. Sure The Dead Pool may be superior to Death Wish 4 but the fact remains that The Dead Pool is just plain uninspired and for that it's a sad way to end such a great series. D.Buddy Van Horn ** |
