| Cyborg 2:Glass Shadow (1993) Cast:Elias Koteas,Angelina Jolie, Jack Palance, Billy Drago Jolie stars as a cyborg who makes a break for freedom when the corparate thugs (Are there any other kind?) try to force her to eliminate their rivals by her self desturcting.. Koteas plays the human protector who follows in Jean-Claude Van Damme's footsteps,while Jack Palance plays the part of "Mercy" who helps the heroes out of tight spots in this vast improvement over # 1. Well it's better than it's lame predecessor at least, that being said I must admit Cyborg 2 was much better than I thought it would be, I mean afterall we are talking about a sequel to one of Van Damme's worst movies, yet despite all of this Cyborg 2 is interesting in it's own right. Interesting but not enough to recommend. Despite the potentional of the plot and well Jolie is very easy on the eyes, Cyborg 2 seems slightly rushed and lacks the overall notch of excitement it aims for. That being said it's certainly watchable enough but it's probably better if you watch it for free. Still a movie that you wouldn't mind watching on tv is a hope any critic could pray for after watching the god-awful Cyborg 1. D. Michael Schroeder **1/2 |
