| Cold Sweat (1970) Cast:Charles Bronson,Liv Ullman,Jill Ireland,James Mason Charles Bronson stars as Joe a charter boat owner who's past gets him in trouble after drug dealers try to force him back in action by kidnapping his family, in which Bronson decides to fight fire with fire by kidnapping his enemy's girlfriend (Ireland) in this extremely dated and one-note Bronson flick which is certainly qualifies as one of his lesser vehicles. The problem with Cold Sweat is that the plot is far too outdated to work all that well, the actionscenes are also poorly done as this one screams 1970's, which this was made in. Aside from the fact that Bronson's screen presence will dominate any film he does, Cold Sweat just fails to really grab your attention. Indeed the overall dated material is just not that compelling and therefore makes this Bronson outing quite forgettable and sub-par. Only for Bronson fans. D.Terence Young *1/2 |
