| Back In Business (1997) Cast:Brian Bosworth, Joe Torry, Dara Tomanovich,Alan Scarge,Brion James, Michael Clarke Duncan Brian Bosworth stars as a disgraced cop who looks for redemption by taking down the dirty cops who ruined his career, as it turns out these cops are smuggling weapons and now Bosworth is back in business taking them out one by one. Joe Torry is the film's saving grace. Back In Business is one of those bland actioners that gathers dust on the video shelves and really it's no wonder since everything is done so by the numbers that one isn't at all impressed by any of the assembly line villains or the cardboard hero who acts like a robot, Back In Business is without a doubt one of the most mediocre movies I've ever seen. The one bright spot is Joe Torry who actually gives his character a few interesting angles as well as providing some welcome comic relief, but seriously this movie can't hold up to other better B.movies let alone when compared to A-list movies, it's simply too bland to really praise yet not bad enough to hate. Bosworth fans may enjoy it but if there is one Bosworth movie you see; Watch Stone Cold or One Man's Justice instead...at least those movies you can remember three minutes later. D.Phillipe Mora ** |
