American Ninja 2 is a best bet for a late night action movie festival because only there can you truly appreciate the nature of this humorous and action-packed sequel which never has a dull moment and is structured pretty well for a ninja flick.. Steve James really steals the show as Curtis Jackson who can not only fight but projects so much charisma in his part, he literly overshadows are hero played by Michael Dudikoff. The plot is still laughable stuff since the science fiction angle doesn't really work and some of the acting is dry, but overlooking that one can find lots to enjoy with this entertainingly action-packed sequel.
