Agent Red (2000)

Cast: Dolph Lundgren,Randolph Mantooth,Natalie Radford,Meliani Paul,Alan Kolman

Even the most ardent  Dolph Lundgren fan will find it hard to like this cliched and perfectly awful
Die Hard clone. The tedious plot concerns a deadly virus which terrorists have snatched and are planning to use against The U.S and Russia.

The story behind this movie is far more interesting than anything else in this film, it turned out that this movie was deemed so unwatchable that it needed reshoots, stock footage and a new writer to make it watchable, infact at Phoenician videos (One of the lowest quality movie producers) this was considered the most unwatchable movie for a long time.(Information provided by
www.yourvideoshelf.com)  Jim Wynorski tried to repair this movie and make it watchable but Agent Red is an uphill battle that features no winners.

Especially the audience, this is without a doubt one wretched movie. Putrid and very tedious with stock footage thrown in from
Solo, Counter Measures and Storm Catcher, somehow some way Agent Red manages to be even worse than the movies it borrows from, although I must commend Wynorski for using stock footage from movies most people wouldn't notice. The movie is hilarious in how it starts off with an actionscene featuring a small guy wiping out American soldiers to steal a plane (Footage from Storm Catcher) only to see a 5'11 actor do it, Dolph Lundgren is at least 6'5 and the scene makes no sense. I guess what's fascinating about excrement like this, is how the best scenes come from from Jim Wynorski's reshoots, one can immediately tell Wynorski from Damian Lee due to the fact that Wynorski is much tighter with pace, dare I say the fact that had Wynorski had directed this would've been at least slightly watchable. Let's face it with Jim Wynorski, Agent Red would've at least earned a one star rating but with this mess which is so ineptly put together and overall just plain tedious I can't get even give it that rating.  D.Damien Lee NO STARS
