| Split Second (1992) Cast:Rutger Hauer,Kim Cattrall,Neil Duncan,Michael J Pollard Split Second is the kind of sub-par movie that looks as if the producers saw Predator,I Come In Peace and Alien and decided to throw together this sorry excuse of a movie which will make one hope that the credits were just one split second away. Hauer plays a hardboiled cop who has just lost his partner to an ET scumbag, however when victims turn up mutilated, Rutger figures it's the same E.T, things get even more complicated when the E.T stalks his girlfriend(Cattrall)now Rutger and his partner(Duncan) must send this alien packing. Every aspect of this film is awful.The FX has a guy in a giant rubber suit fighting Hauer in the snooze-inducing climax. The secret to making a sucsessful Sci/Fi/Action combo is to build a credible and intriguing mythology and thrilling actionscenes.
