Bruce Lee Fights Back From The Grave (1976) Cast: Bruce K. Lea, Anthony Bronson, Sho Kosugi Here's the thing, according to the cover, Bruce Lee comes back from the grave to fight the Angel of death and although such a premise promises something epic (In cheese factor that is.) what we get instead is some random guy who fights to avenge his best friend in the states and then takes on said friend when he finds out his friend was staging his death for unknown (but sinister) reasons. Then we see Bruce Lee rise from the grave in the beginning, so no one knows if this is meant to be Bruce Lee rising from the grave to avenge his friend or if it's just a random guy. Whatever the case it's all a big time bore. Bruce Lee Fights Back From The Grave is a very dull chop socky yarn with the usual bad dubbing and repetitive fights. What makes this particular movie so mercilessly boring is that the hero in question doesn't fight nearly enough and when he does, these sequences hardly impress. The movie is also badly made with a confusing narrative that starts with Bruce Lee coming out of the grave and then switching to some lame crapfest about some random guy avenging his friend. It's all so predictable and boring that one wonders why they didn't just stick with the premise as such would've been more entertaining, at least more entertaining than this. D. Doo Yong Lee * |
