Clow Reed is the one who created the Clow Cards so long ago, as well as appointing Yue and Kero to the positions in which they hold today. He was a kind man, who's parents were both magicians.
However, seeing as they were both of different origins of eastern and western magic, Clow Reed used both of these to create the special magic in which he calls "Clow Cards." He died of unknown causes, but his legacy lives on today through his descendant Li Showron, and possibly through two others in the world . . .
Using his power, he created the Clow Cards, which are a unique blend of Eastern and Western magic. He was familiar with both, because his mother was from the Eastern culture, while his father was English. He chose Fujitaka and Eriol to be half each of his reincarnation.
Eriol is a character from the 2nd series. Eriol is a new transfer student from England. Eriol is very kind and sweet and Sakura finds him very charming. This makes Syaoran jealous.That's why Syaoran is Eriol's rival. Eriol is half of the reincarnation of Clow Read.
He has Phenomenal Magic Powers -- but apparently doesn't possess an itty-bitty living space -- unless you count typically Tokyo accommodations.
He may seem like your average elementary school kid, but like Sakura he has a key that can become a staff. He follows Sakura throughout the second series very closely. his ultimate goal is to have Sakura transfer all the clow cards to star.
