Tomoyo is very interested in videos. In fact, she insists on filming all of Sakura's expeditions, and documenting important events in Sakura's life, such as her first date etc. She is also a great designer/seamstress, as she makes elaborate 'magic-girl' costumes for her friend. Tomoyo can always be found with her video camera. She loves videotaping her best friend, no matter what they may be doing. It's hard to imagine how many tapes she owns of Sakura walking around and stuff... When they go out in large groups, Tomoyo doesn't seem to participate much as she tapes Sakura, saying "Oh, I don't mind, I am happy just to videotape Sakura." She always tries her best to tape Sakura as she catches cards. In fact, she even makes beautiful magical-girl costumes for her friend to wear on these expeditions. Ever so talented, Tomoyo is good at designing and making costumes for her friend Sakura. Usually they have a cute theme that is somehow relevant to the card that Sakura is trying to catch. Each elaborate costume is designed with love and care, just for Sakura. Tomoyo invests much time into these costumes. If only one word was used to describe her, sweet would be it. Not a sweet so sugary that it's flaky, but a genuine sweetness that can melt anybody's heart! Tomoyo comes from a very rich family. Although she is extremely well off, it is impossible to tell from the way she acts. She never shows off or is snobby. Tomoyo lives in a big mansion with her mother, who is the head of a big toy company. Not much is known about her father. But being the daughter of such an important person, Tomoyo is usually chauffeured around in a limo, and has a group of female bodyguards around her when she goes out at night. Tomoyo is so perfect that she may seem inhuman at times, being so dedicated and sweet at all times, never having a bad day. However, it seems to be natural for her to be the way she is, and she does everything in such a sincere manner that it is hard to find a fault in that. Some may call her a freak because she is so obsessed and dedicated to Sakura, but she is really a sweet person. Her dedication to Sakura is so strong that she would do anything to see Sakura happy. To me, it seems almost self-sacrificing. I liked it when she said: "The best happiness is seeing the one you love happy." because in an ideal world, that would be true, and since Tomoyo is an ideal friend, she is content with being 'just friends' with the person she loves as long as that person is happy. It's difficult to love somebody and then watch as they fall in love with someone else. Tomoyo, being such a perfect friend, first encourages Sakura with her crush for Yukito, and then is happy to see Sakura and Sayoran together. Afterall, her role as a friend is to be supportive and she plays it out well.
