These bugs are a combination of several different techniques.
Nora Jean's Chop and Toss- A great way to use up cane ends</a>
Natasha Bead Technique
My Granddaughter's fascination with bugs
Materials:
Chopped up bits and pieces of cane ends, canes that didn't work or scrap clay
Scrap clay for core of bug
Tissue blade for slicing bead
4 short head pins for each bug
4 tiny seed type beads for eyes - mine were a little larger than seed beads
Tiny amount of Translucent Liquid Sculpy
Index card to bake on
Make a circle of scrap clay for your core and smash it to form the bug body
Gather up your cane ends or messed canes to chop. I keep mine in tubs according to the mix I have. Another Nora Jean idea.
Use your tissue blade to chop up your ends and pieces. Toss this mess.
Compact the pieces into a log
Grab your log and give it several twists.
Flatten you twisted log into a rectangular shape. Not too flat.
