This cane can be sliced as you wish to make beads or cover items to represent amethyst crystals.
You can change the amount of violet used to your own tastes.
Materials:
Translucent, Pearl and Violet Kato Clay or the brand you prefer
Make a rope of the Translucent, Violet and a mix of the Pearl/Violet(lavender above)
Lay ropes beside each other.
Twist and roll the colors together.
Roll and twist the cane more. You will repeat this step until you get the mix you want.
Don't repeat too many times as this will just blend the colors and your need the translucent to show for the crystal.
I decided I wanted more translucent so I added another rope and twisted it in.
Getting close. 1 or 2 more twists should do it.
This is my finished cane. I can now slice sections off and apply them to a surface or a bead.
Try not to mix too much as you apply. We want the translucence.
