The reason this machine remained in such good condition, is due to a poor operator who did a poor job at proper repair which killed the MPU and short circuited parts of the playfield. The cabinet on the leftside still has the "extra" flipper button still installed which is wired to the kickout saucer for the "Tube Shot". This was done to eliminate the ball not put back into play do to memory failure on the MPU Board.
Some of the issues which required attention:
Complete sound failure (Complex issue) (REPAIRED)
Intermittent knocker / credit problem (REPAIRED)
Scoring display problem (REPAIRED)
Replace all wire harness connectors (COMPLETED)
Rebuild power supply board (REPAIRED)
Install NEW Blue LED Lamp Strip (from "The Pinball Lizard") (COMPLETED)
Install new drop targets (gold spoked wheel) (INSTALLED)
Outkicker solenoid transisitor (TIP 102 and paired resistor) needed replaced (FIXED)
Fill one security lock hole on the right side of cabinet. (FIXED)
Cabinet still needs finished repainted (COMPLETED)
Replace spinner with NOS (FOUND)
Track down some replacement used blue posts! (FOUND)
Unfortunately I had to substitute some uncommon
1 1/4" transparent blue star posts for the game instead of ring posts.
The end result is almost identical.
