| How strange. This ...hm...'awarded' soundtrack (mind you, Razzie Awards!) contains Pia's biggest US hit to date i.e. The Clapping Song. In a slightly different version than the single version -an extra trumpet-, this song really steels the show. Admitted, it's not thát hard when you hear those bad, bad other songs. "The Clapping Song" is the single positive note on an otherwise forgettable soundtrack. After listening to this, you no longer wonder who these other artists are, you just knów why you never heard of them before/again (Felony anyone, or Oren Waters?). I guess Pia's reputation is not the only that got ruined by "The Lonely Lady". This album is not available on CD (and likely never will be...), only on LP |
