Comments :

This is the first Pia Zadora - album that was released all over Europe, after the huge success of "When The Rain Begins To Fall". Probably to establish Pia as a popstar, she needed a full album quickly. "Let's Dance Tonight" can be considered as an altered re-issue of the "Rock It Out" - album, with Pia's songs of the "Voyage Of The..."-soundtrack added.
After
"When The Rain Begins To Fall" several singles where released i.e. "Let's Dance Tonight", "Little Bit Of Heaven" and a re-release of "Rock It Out", each with lesser success. "Real Love" was also released as a single, but long before this album came out.
The album on itself is not that bad, but these songs just aren't right for Pia's voice. "Follow My Heartbeat" is probably the most swinging song, but in the other cuts, Zadora's voice gets a bit lost in between the background choirs and fancy arrangements. I guess they didn't look at a penny to make Pia a star (but I forgive them).
"Let's Dance Tonight" was released on LP and CD in Europe, both out of print but especially the CD is very rare and hard to find. In 1985, it was released in the US as "When The Rain Begins To Fall" on LP only.

Actress Pia Zadora's quest for a recording carreer continues, and culls a top 100 single on her duet with Jermaine Jackson, this album's title cut and title for the songstress' new rock/sci-fi movie.
