A Snapshot is a short PhotoImpact tutorial that is created as a 400x400 pixel gif or jpeg image. It can be opened directly into the PhotoImpact workspace and referenced while working on the tutorial. You can even store Snapshots in your Easy Palette, or just drag-and-drop them into your workspace from this site when needed for quick reference! | ![]() |

These tutorials are usually geared toward the user who is familiar with the PhotoImpact toolbars and menus, but if you are a less experienced user and don't know where a tool or effect is found, just come to the PIRC bulletin board and ask or check out your PI help text. The PhotoImpact Snapshots on this site have been created by various authors. I do not take responsibility for the accuracy or quality of any Snapshot that is not my own (Ginger Bauer). If you have questions about a particular Snapshot, please contact the author directly: The Snapshot author is listed on the bottom of the Snapshot, and I will list contact information on the index, when it is provided. The Snapshots are ALL copyrighted so do not change the images in any way or redistribute them. You may harvest a Snapshot and open it in PI or save it to your Easy Palette to reference while working on the tutorial. If you would like to create and submit a PhotoImpact Snapshot, please click here for guidelines and the link to download the Snapshot UFO template. |

Credit for the Snapshot format goes to MaryLou White of PIRC (PhotoImpact Resource Center) and Ginger Bauer of All In The Image. MaryLou demonstrated a PhotoImpact technique using a similar format, and Ginger Bauer developed the format into the Snapshot concept, including the Snapshot logo and this Web site. The format has proved to be very popular among users, and Ginger has provided a UFO kit for others to use to create their own Snapshot tutorials. The designer and administrator of this site is Ginger Bauer. If you'd like to link back to this site and need a button or banner, please use these (you may also use the banner as a coordinating header on your Snapshot site, if you have one):
