A teacher is a preacher,
Of discipline & culture.
It is a difficult job,
But a teacher opens the knob
Of the door beyond which 
lies our future.
As many people say,
We are a lump of clay
A teacher moulds us
Throughout the school days.
A teacher tells us now & then,
About doing things how & when?
Correcting our mistakes
And helping us in bad times.
Punishing us on our mischief,
But never shaking the belief,
That they are digging a mine
And the outcome will be diamonds that shine.

A teacher's job is to guide,
And our duty is to abide.
