The Dreaded Earthquake |
Author: Purvi Shah |
Oh! I still remember
And feel a shiver,
When I think of the quake
Everyone running, life at stake!
How it came? No one knew,
And the experience, truly new,
Left us trembling long after
The dreaded disaster.
It looked as if a monster,
Hidden under earth's cover
Was bent on destroying
Every human being!
You should have looked at the loss,
All limits did it cross.
Tremendous damage it brought
But brave people fought.
Those who saw the sights,
Couldn't sleep at nights.
Buildings crashed and hopes died
But help came by their side.
People became united
And consoled those afraid.
It was all a nightmare,
Horrifying, but we had to bear.
It is the truth, bare truth
No one could escape it!
