OUR PARENTS

I was closed to my dad. He was a good educator. He had stressed a lot the importance of having a proper education and possessing a degree. He used to quote bible verses for me which has become parts of my guiding light. He rested in peace at the age of eighty three but my fond memories of him will always be there to ponder. My mom is strict and her sense of discipline is a little too tight for me bringing me closer then to my dad and my sister Glo. But she is always there when I needed her most.

My mother in-law (maman) is a warm and kind woman. Her loving and gentle ways which are inherited by Stéphane have captured my heart the same way her son has captivated me. She is an ideal mother in the real sense of the word and I feel close to her as she embraces my being me with respect and understanding. My father in-law (papa) is likewise a kind hearted man. A man of books, I find him very intelligent. Both love to travel. Married for fifty years, their lives are a living manifestation of how we wish to be. I found a real home with them.
