errified, she pushed open the door to face her
deepest fear. Desperately she struck out, but the
stinger stabbed deep into her neck.
Now, like fire, the venom is savaging through her
bloodstream and she retches convulsively as her legs
buckle.
Powerful jaws drag her into the brood chamber.
The parasite lays one egg in her hair before sealing
her in.
Paralyzed but alert, she feels the egg open to
release it’s worm. Her skin crawls with horror as it
burrows. The pain is terrible as it consumes the fat
under her skin. She cannot move, cannot sleep, laying
helpless as this growing maggot gnaws her living
flesh.
Now she retches as it crawls among her intestines.
With each bite, her body convulses in such agony that
her breathing stops. Soon, she will take short quick
breaths while waiting in horror for the next
convulsion. Exhausted, without sleep, without hope,
beyond pity, she is slowly being eaten alive.
She prays for death as the maggot slowly devours
her womb crushing her spirit. She is now a
whimpering, convulsing soul, despairing in agony.
Desperately she thinks of her family. Will they
meet her fate? For a moment, she embraces hope that
her children will escape before her thoughts are again
consumed in convulsing agony.
If only she could die.
Eventually she can only think of this revolting
maggot within. She remembers nothing else as she
waits in shuddering horror for the next spasm. To be
eaten alive is her only purpose in life.
Parasitic wasp and trapdoor spider.
